Not all gas pressure washers have pressure adjustment knobs. If your pressure washer has a pressure adjustment knob, refer to your owner’s manual for pressure-setting procedures. If your pressure washer does not have a pressure adjustment knob, the following are your only options for adjusting pressure.

Adjusting pressure with the lance:

  • When the nozzle on the lance is pulled back toward the gun trigger, the pressure washer is in high-pressure mode.

  • When the nozzle on the lance is pushed away from the gun trigger, the pressure washer is in low-pressure mode.

  • On pressure washers that are equipped with quick-connect tips, use the black tip for low pressure. All other tips provide spray pattern variation only.

  • You can adjust the pressure being applied to the project surface by altering the distance between you and the surface.
