A dedicated circuit is one where the circuit breaker is providing protection for only one receptacle or electrical outlet. This is often not the case in most residential homes. Usually, there are several outlets that all go back to one common circuit breaker. If your circuit breaker trips, check to see if other electrical devices have lost power. If so, this is an indication that your compressor is plugged into a non-dedicated outlet. Unplug these other electrical devices and reset the circuit breaker before turning the compressor back on.
