30 Gallon Air Compressor (VT6271)

This is a good compressor, but only after you fix it. I didn’t want to believe the other review, however we are not kidding. The compressor came in with several parts broken. I think the worst part other than the broken parts, is that CH does not give a crap about its customers. I have reached out several times with no solution to my problems. These times I reached out, I was told that they were going to make this right, however never heard from the again time after time. With that said, I had to go out of my way to purchase the parts from third party manufacturers. Very unhappy with this brand, especially given their prices. Never purchasing from here again!!!

Bought this compressor 2 years ago. Truthfully it has been a decent compressor. The switch just failed and in replacing it I ran across an indication of the build quality. While removing the copper tube that runs from the pump to the tank I noticed one end was sealed with a compression fitting as it should be. The other end had the compression nut but no ring. Instead there was a red rubber hose material jambed in the nut and the mating fitting. The tube actually had a deformed area that looked like there was a compression ring there ocne. I made my own tube with proper fittings at each end. I bought this brand new and this was the first time this was ever apart. Just indicated to me the low quality level of assembly and assembly personnel they employ. I just hope the welders they use to build the tanks have a better quality standards.

Wow.... just read the review on this thing on this website on the VT6271 and Campbell must be really stupid for not taking care of that last guy. I know so many contractors that use compressors and you'd think Campbell would truly go out of their way to take care of the customer. What idiots. Well, Here I come Dewalt .

Just purchased this air compressor on January 16th 2017 and it was delivered yesterday . When the freight delivery driver unloaded the air compressor box which was banded to a 4'x4' wood pallet and we inspected the box it was in great shape. Not one hole the box and no indication that the box had been mishandled in any sort of way. After the driver left I proceeded to cut all of the banding that held the box in place. When I got it all open I noticed the the guard had been smashed and there were parts missing from the parts bag like the breather for the compressor head and the two rubber pads that are supposed to go on the tank stand leg but they did not fit because the pads were 1"wide and the stand leg was 1 and 1/2" wide so they didn't fit. As I was carefully inspecting every little thing I checked the tank drain and found just over 1 gallon of water in the tank. Needless to say but at this point I was pretty mad so I called Campbell Hausfeld to see what they could do to replace the damaged and missing parts but they told me that they would have to talk to the supervisor and they would call me early the next morning but they didn't so at noon I called them and after a little bit of a run around I was told that it was not there fault that I would have to contact the freight company because they were the ones that damaged the guard. So I asked again about the missing parts and the water in the tank and again I was told to take it up with the freight company. So if you are looking for an air compressor I would not recommend getting a Campbell Hausfeld because after spending $700 you would think they would try to do all they could to replace the damaged and missing parts and come up with some kind of explanation for all the water in the tank.
